LOW POWER LOADS

 

Shown below are the two types of low power loads. These are constructed from either pre-machined ceramic or carbonyl iron loaded inserts or silicone rubber moulded inserts depending on size and specification.

The precision loads also employ a technique of moulding the load material in the housing to achieve the best possible V.S.W.R.

Detailed below in a generic table, most of this type of load are application specific.

Power handling of these types is limited to 50 watts max in WG6 to 0.5W max in WG22.

V.S.W.R* Standard : 1.15:1 maximum
Precision: 1.03:1 maximum (can be optimised over reduced frequency range)
Customer to specify:
Flange type Certain types amy dictate changes in overall length
Material Copper/ Brass or Aluminium
Finish External : Semi gloss white paint standard
Power handling The standard range illustrated are broad band, low power designs.
Most sizes have a higher power option available - Consult the factory for details.

Note: precision loads normally in brass.
